We are thrilled to welcome Dr. LaBeaud to this role.

We also celebrate the contributions of Steve Luby, who served as the Associate Dean of Global Health Research for numerous years. Dr. Luby made tremendous contributions to our center during his tenure, mentoring many emerging global health leaders, advancing numerous research and educational initiatives, and leading the creation of a Human and Planetary Health initiative across multiple disciplines at Stanford. He is now shifting more of his focus and time to leading this initiative.

He will remain a pivotal member of the CIGH team as Director of Global Health Research. In this role, he’ll continue to be closely involved with several educational and programmatic efforts related to global health research. This includes the Global Health Research Methods workshop, a new global health research spotlight series, our Global Health Seed Grants, and the annual Research Convening. Thank you, Dr. Luby, for your remarkable and ongoing contributions to global health at Stanford!
